Our Great Commission impact begins on our daily mission fields in Lexington County. As we represent Jesus in our daily mission fields we cross paths with some of the 1.2 million people that live within a 45 mile radius of Lexington County courthouse. To the best of our estimation, only 25 % of them attend an evangelical church on any given Sunday. What will it take to reach the 900,000 that are not attending church on any given Sunday?
Strategic ways to sow the seeds of the Gospel in Lexington County:
- Prayerwalking – Prayerwalking paves the way for ministry and evangelism. As we walk and drive our community, we can see our mission field through His eyes and sense where He is at work. Make an intentional plan to prayerwalk your neighborhood, schools, government buildings, etc. Join your church or Association prayerwalking ministries. Use The Face of Lostness prayer calendar from the Association to pray specifically for the lost people groups in Lexington County.
- Daily mission fields – we can respond to God’s call to go for Him in our daily mission fields. Make a list of places where you have been during the past week. At which of these places did you likely cross paths with an unbeliever? That was your mission field. Our lifestyles can reflect our willingness to represent Him as we go each day.
- Mission projects – Be a part of the mission projects that your church or Association are doing. Join them or start a new ministry to reach lost people in this county.
Lord, help me find my place in Lexington County:
God, thank You for reminding me of the need to sow Gospel seeds in my daily mission field. Help me to see Lexington County through Your eyes.
