London is one of the Kingdom Connections of South Carolina Baptists: A Witness to the World" in 2010.  Prayerfully read the information below as you consider where God would have you serve Him this year.

It has been said that London is a gateway city to the world. Therefore, if we can reach the city of London with the Gospel, we can potentially reach the whole world with the Gospel.  More than 300 different languages are spoken there.  London is a global center of finance and politics.  The city is divided into 33 boroughs.

After an initial trip to London for training, prayerwalking and seeking next steps, the Lexington Association has adopted the borough of Enfield. God’s spirit directed this decision process and will use us to make a difference in Enfield among the 285,000 residents.  

Strategy and End Vision- Lexington Baptist Association is the Borough Strategist for the Royal borough of Enfield in London.  We serve as catalysts in prayerfully developing a missiological strategy for reaching every segment of the borough with the Gospel, for seeing churches planted and for mobilizing resources to these ends.  Beginning in 2011 the strategy will be prayerwalking, discovering potential evangelical partners and massive Gospel seed sowing.  Our end vision is to see God begin a church planting movement in the London borough of Enfield.

Lord, help me find my place in London – Father, I know I have a responsibility to live out the Great Commission to the ends of the earth.  Could London be one of the places?  I ask You for the privilege of being a part of a church planting movement in the borough of Enfield.  Amen

London Partnership

Prayer Requests:

1.    LBA has adopted the London Borough of Enfield

2.    Pray for the local churches that are in Enfield that they will be effective in winning their own community for Christ

3.    Pray God will send forth His laborers into the mission field of Enfield

4.    Pray for Linda Hite as she gives leadership and leads prayerwalking teams to pray for Enfield

5.    Pray God will reveal to us where He is working in Enfield and asked if we can join Him at work

6.    Pray for the Association’s London mission team as they give leadership to developing a strategy to reach London with the gospel

7.    Pray God will raise a generation of prayer warriors who will intercede on behalf of the lost in Enfield

8.    Pray for other South Carolina churches who are adopting other boroughs

9.    Pray for a significant movement of God as South Carolina churches and LBA entering this adoption strategy to reach Enfield for Christ

10.   Pray for our IMB London mission team as they reach London with the gospel

  • Form Adoption Team (prayer coordinator, champion promoter, logistics coordinator)
  • Receive Strategy Coordinator Training
  • Pray for God's Leadership to Adopt a Borough
  • Develop Strategy to Reach the Borough (reproducible, locally owned, relevant etc.)
  • Send 2-4 Association Teams per year
