Atlanta is the home of the Braves, the Falcons, Stone Mountain, Six Flags, the Georgia Aquarium and also the home of new, upgraded and remodeled homes, apartments and condos.  Atlanta, inside I-285, is also the home of new people - a diversity of people.  The sad news is in Atlanta over 525,000 people have no religious affiliation, over 610,000 people are not church members and over 760,000 people do not attend any form of worship or Bible study during a given week!

Urban Atlanta Church Planting (UACP) is a cooperative effort of Atlanta Association of Southern Baptists and Atlanta Metro Baptist Association to intentionally plant healthy, reproducing congregations inside Atlanta's perimeter (ITP) that produce community transformation by:

  • Praying for lost and unchurched people on a daily basis
  • Engaging unreached people in small groups
  • Sowing - sharing the good news and the truth of scripture in every way possible
  • Harvesting - developing contextual evangelistic strategies, conducting intentionally evangelistic events, following up and assimilating new believers into Bible study and worship and developing reproducing Jesus followers.
