“WHAT IS SPONSORSHIP?”
The nurturing value good parents provide for young children is comparable to the nurturing value good sponsoring churches provide for young churches.
The relationship between a sponsoring church and a new church is like that of a mother-daughter relationship. The relationship grows into being very meaningful. The ultimate goal is for both to continue on a journey of maturity.
Lexington Baptist Association works with churches (new and existing) to have church reproduction/multiplication in the DNA. It is the only way the masses will be reached with the gospel.

“WHO ELSE IS PLANTING CHURCHES?”
While attempting to reach the masses, church planters are often out there by themselves.
Lexington Baptist Association has a network of church planters. Even though these church planters are at different levels of development, they are all great guys and would love to network with anyone on the journey.

“IS THERE HELP FOR PLANTING CHURCHES?”
Yes, there is help for starting churches. The task is too large for us not to partner with like-minded entities.
The Lexington Baptist Association works with every mission church and sponsoring church to develop the right partnership to meet the need.

Leadership
“IS THERE LEADERSHIP TRAINING AVAILABE FOR CHURCH PLANTERS?”
Some church planters are followers who need to be developed into leaders; while others are leaders who need to be taught how to conserve their energy.
Lexington Baptist Association is well-known for two very important missional tracks: 1) mobilization, and 2) leadership development. These two tracks marry the church planter with growth – spiritual and missional.
