Camille G. Graham Correctional Institution Picnic

 September 10, 2011

“I was in prison and you visited me.” Mt. 25:36

Would you be willing to live out your faith by being obedient to Christ’s command in Matthew 25? If so, would you be willing to help us with this year’s mission outreach in the following ways?

v      Volunteer to go to the prison to fellowship with the inmates, help with witnessing, games, serve meals, participate in the worship service etc. Volunteer Orientation (required) will be at New Heights Baptist Church, 5501 Broad River Road, 803-772-6000 by 11:00 AM. Get more Volunteers information from David Lee at david@missionlba.org or 803-356-2543.

v      Prepare Food. Bring as much food as possible since we have a lot of people to feed.  Since this is a once a year event, please provide only quality fried chicken from your kitchen or local grocery stores and restaurants (some suggestions: Piggly Wiggly, Lizard Thicket, Bojangles, Rushes, and Churches Chicken).  The menu is as follows:

Ø        Fried Chicken (A little extra this year so we won’t run out)

Ø        Fresh/Raw Vegetables i.e. broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, celery, radishes, tomatoes (wedges only)

Ø        Dips: Only French Onion and Ranch

Ø        Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches

Ø        Pimento Cheese Sandwiches

Ø        Home baked goodies. Cakes must be pre-sliced and wrapped individually

Ø        Chips

Ø        No store bought cookies or snack cakes

Ø        Drinks will be provided by CGCI
