Mission Partnership
Cartagena, Colombia
Cartagena is a coastal city located in the northern part of Colombia. It is a city with a population of 1.2 million people (about the size of Columbia, SC). Since 2002, LBA and Riverland Hills Baptist Church have sent five mission teams to work with our IMB missionaries. Our missionaries were called to minister to the international displaced and poor people who lived in the slums of Cartagena.
In the next five year, LBA will have the opportunity to continue to work with our IMB personnel. In addition, we will have the opportunity to partner with some of the mission-minded pastors in the area. They are all bivocational pastors who pastor growing churches. In addition, they send out lay missionaries from their own churched every week to start new churches and reach other communites with the gospel. They have asked us to partner with them to evangelize their city and to equip their lay leaders. Future Ministry opportunites will include:
